Yun Kang, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Kang is a seasoned family dentist boasting over 20 years of expertise across various realms of general dentistry, with a keen specialization in cosmetic procedures, dental implants, and clear aligner therapy such as Invisalign. His extensive practice encompasses patients spanning all ages, from pediatric to geriatric demographics.
Dr. Kang embarked on his academic journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the College of William and Mary, where he further pursued his academic prowess with a Master of Arts degree in Chemistry. Driven by a genuine passion for dentistry, he went on to attain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2003.
Continuing his commitment to excellence, Dr. Kang remains dedicated to advancing his knowledge through postdoctoral studies in cutting-edge dental techniques. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, he is a proud fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Notably, Dr. Kang's previous practice in Mount Vernon earned the distinguished accolade of being named the best dentist in the Northwest for the year 2021 by 'Bellingham Alive' magazine.
Whether his patients require complex procedures or routine cleanings, Dr. Kang ensures that every aspect of their dental care is executed with precision and compassion.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Kang is a proponent of holistic health practices. He actively engages in and shares the benefits of ancient Korean mindful exercises, including 'Body and Brain Yoga and Taichi,' which he teaches on weekends. Grace Hare – Office Manager
Grace serves as the dedicated front office manager at 19th Avenue Dental, bringing her wealth of experience since joining the practice in 2016. Her journey in the dental field began over eight years ago, initially as a sterilization technician and dental assistant. Passionate about every facet of dental care and patient well - being, Grace finds fulfillment in her role.
Originally hailing from Southern California, Grace now calls Lynnwood, WA her home. Outside of her professional duties, she finds joy in various activities, including paddle boarding, cherished moments with family, culinary exploration, and indulging in the discovery of new cuisines. Grace's vibrant personality and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset to the 19th Avenue Dental team.
Lynn House – Treatment Coordinator/Front Office
Lynn grew up in Washington State and later graduated in Bothell.
As the front office treatment coordinator with 22 years' experience in the field, she can help patients get the care they need by explaining their insurance benefits & treatment options so they can maximize their benefits year after year.
In 2002, Lynn graduated as a certified expanded function dental assistant. She started her career in an office in Woodinville, where they performed extreme makeover cases. Dentistry is her passion! Patients are her priority.
She loves boating, fishing, gardening, training her dogs, hard work & becoming a skilled cook.
Kellie Lehtinen – Dental Hygienist
Kellie is our talented dental hygienist. She received her associate degree in dental hygiene and has over 33 years of experience as a registered hygienist. She is very passionate about her work and loves to meet new patients. She is very dedicated to her job and clients. Through her years of experience, Kellie has gathered many patients who follow her from dentist to dentist. Kellie enjoys taking care of her teenage daughter on her time off. She likes to ride and take care of horses since she was a small child. She loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Isabella Mendez - Dental Assistant
Isabella is a dedicated dental assistant with nearly three years of experience in the field. Originally from California, she relocated to Washington after her partner accepted a position with Nissan. Her professional background is rooted in pediatric dentistry, where she developed expertise in sedation techniques and in creating a comfortable, reassuring environment for young patients.
Since transitioning into general dentistry, Isabella has broadened her clinical experience and deepened her commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. She is known for her professionalism, strong teamwork skills, and passion for continuous learning and growth within the dental field.
