Keeping your teeth healthy and strong is a goal most of us have in common. Today, our team is going to give you some basic information about the essential products you should be using daily to keep your teeth looking in tip-top shape.

Floss

There are two different types of floss on the market today: nylon and PTFE. Nylon (multifilament) floss is the most common, and is typically the standard dental floss. Whereas, PTFE (monofilament) floss can be more expensive but works well between teeth because of its strength. All floss today comes in different flavors and thickness, giving you the option to choose one that works best for you mouth.

Mouthwash

Mouthwash can be a great way kill bacteria that can cause problems for your teeth as well as freshen breath. There are several varieties of mouthwash on the market today. Bacteria-fighting rinse can be great to fight off gum disease or infection or rinses that contain fluoride can help in the prevention of tooth decay (cavities).

Toothpaste & Toothbrush

Your toothbrush and toothpaste work hand in hand with each other. Both rely on one another to get the job of cleaning your teeth done. For your toothbrush, most dentists recommend using a soft bristled toothbrush for adults and children. These soft bristles are effective at removing plaque and stains from your teeth, unlike hard or firm bristles.

For your toothpaste, it’s a good idea to go ahead and talk with your dentist about what type of toothpaste will work best for your teeth. When you are at the store, always choose toothpaste that contains fluoride and has the ADA Seal of Acceptance.
