Preparation and Crown Same Day
With CEREC, we can prepare the tooth for the crown and place the crown on the same day. This means that you only have to have one appointment, and you don’t have to worry about scheduling more than one day off from work.
No Temporary Crown
By getting your preparation and crown in one day, you don’t have to pay for an additional temporary crown to use while you are waiting for the permanent one. Temporary crowns are fragile and not very protective, so when you have one you are very limited in what you can eat until you get the permanent crown. With CEREC crowns, you don’t have to go through this part of the process.
No Impressions
With CEREC technology, there are no physical dental impressions necessary to create your crown. Instead, this uses digital impressions, which is similar to a dental x-ray. These digital impressions are then used to cut the crown from the material right here in our office.
